Other News

Covid-Pledge:

Thank you for such a positive, supportive response to our position on the continuing health crisis. We continue to navigate our way through these ever-changing times.  It seems we are still very far from lifting any of the required procedures of the CDC or County health department.  Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for students.  We continue to see how happy students are to be in school and we are so glad we can support our families with quality preschool experience.

**If we would have someone in our school test positive for Covid we would be required to close for 24-48 hours to disinfect the entire school.

Also, please keep us informed of travel, exposure, or symptoms that effect your family.  Please continue to wear a mask, social distance and wash hands.  Thank you!

Enrollment and Withdraw Policy:

If you are now enrolled, we will assume you are continuing with us in August unless we receive a withdraw notice by July 1st.   If you wish to change your schedule for the upcoming Fall semester simply fill out a schedule change form ASAP and we will accommodate your needs. If you will be leaving be sure to fill out a withdraw form at least 30 days prior to your child’s last day of school.  This will allow us to apply your deposit to your last full month of tuition.  All forms are located in the basket on the front desk.

FUSD School begins (hopefully) August 13th!

We will be happy to accommodate those families who wish to remain at Foresight until the start of FUSD school year.  Please talk to Kori ASAP if this is something you would like to do.  Space will be limited, but we want to make your child’s transition from Foresight to another school as positive as possible. Also, remember we do offer an art enrichment program for our late day students. They can take the bus (short ride) to/from Cromer.  We also offer early care and afternoon care for the Friday early release. Thank you!

FLC Private Kindergarten:

We wanted to make sure that all families are aware that our school offers private kindergarten. Our class size will be 15 students, so your child will continue to get the individual attention we can provide to prepare him or her for 1st grade. We follow the AZ kindergarten standards-if not exceed them. Please talk with Beth or Kori if you have any questions.

Also, those children who might possibly be ready for Kindergarten, but miss the entry date due to a later birthday should consider our private Kindergarten.  There are some specific guidelines for private kindergarten enrollment that we would be happy to discuss with you if you feel your child would benefit from this placement.  It has proven to be a very positive transition for our students!

Lunch-Snack Reminders:

Please be aware of choking hazards for your child’s lunch and snacks.  Do not put items such as hotdogs, uncut grapes and carrots, popcorn, etc.  Also, please do NOT send any meat that is still attached to a bone or tough jerky.  We follow the standard of “if it fits down a toilet paper tube, it is a hazard.”

Sunscreen:

We suggest that you apply sunscreen on your child before or at arrival time.  It should be a brand that has the highest possible SPF 40+, and should be water proof and long lasting.  It is also recommended that your child wear a hat/sunglass when possible.

Emergency and Evacuation Procedures:

We do have emergency procedures in place specifically for Flagstaff’s fire season and we are registered with reverse 911, so they will immediately inform Foresight of any local threats, which will help eliminate any mixed information on our end.  It is also required (actually a law) that you or an authorized contact person can always be reached by phone at any time if we need you, **Please be sure you always give us any contact updates.

Our priority is your child’s safety and security. Thank you.

Registration Fee, Account Deposits and 2020 Tuition:

Annual Registration fees and deposit updates will be added to your account in August for those who will be continuing in the 2020-2021 program. We also wanted to let you know there will be a slight tuition increase.  This is not something we want to do, but with this year’s minimum wage increase goes to 15.00/hr.(from $13.00, which is a 15.5% increase). we will be forced to do so to insure we will not close our doors like so many businesses have had to do.  Your deposit will be adjusted in August to reflect your new monthly tuition.  A tuition sheet will be posted, and if you have any questions please talk with Beth.  *Those of you who will be staying for the first few weeks before the start of public school will not be charged a new registration fee.

COVID-19 Policies:

We are in the process of fine-tuning our policies involving COVID exposure.  Please watch for an email next week for details!

New Staff:

We are so pleased to have Mykaela Tryon join our foresight family!  She is such a caring, sweet young lady and she is an education major!

We will still be hiring a Late-day teacher after Gina leaves us to get her new class room ready in Phoenix.

If you know anyone interested in teaching Art in the pm, please have them call the school.
