Other News

Enrollment and Withdraw Policy:

If you are now enrolled we will assume you are continuing with us in August unless we receive a withdraw notice by July 1st.   If you wish to change your schedule for the upcoming Fall semester simply fill out a schedule change form ASAP and we will accommodate your needs. If you will be leaving be sure to fill out a withdraw form at least 30 days prior to your child’s last day of school.  This will allow us to apply your deposit to your last full month of tuition.  All forms are located in the basket on the front desk.

FUSD School begins August 8th!

We will be happy to accommodate those families who wish to remain at Foresight until the start of FUSD school year.  Please talk to Kori ASAP if this is something you would like to do.  Space will be limited, but we want to make your child’s transition from Foresight to another school as positive as possible. Also, remember we do offer an art enrichment program for our late day students. They can take the bus (short ride) to/from Cromer.  We also offer early care and afternoon care for the Friday early release. Thank you!

FLC Private Kindergarten

We wanted to make sure that all families are aware that our school offers private kindergarten. Our class size will be 15 students, so your child will continue to get the individual attention we can provide to prepare him or her for 1st grade. We follow the AZ kindergarten standards-if not exceed them. Please talk with Beth or Kori if you have any questions.

Also, those children who might possibly be ready for Kindergarten, but miss the entry date due to a later birthday should consider our private Kindergarten.  There are some specific guidelines for private kindergarten enrollment that we would be happy to discuss with you if you feel your child would benefit from this placement.  It has proven to be a very positive transition for our students!

Before and After School Care:

We also provide before and after school childcare for ages 2-6. Cromer FACTS program can be overwhelming for younger friends and is unable to provide the curriculum your child would receive at Foresight and the smaller more supervised outside enrichment. Please talk with Kori if you have any questions.

Lunch Time Reminders

Please be aware of choking hazards for your child’s lunch.  Do not put items such as hotdogs, uncut grapes and carrots, popcorn, etc.  Also, please do NOT send any meat that is still attached to a bone or tough jerky.  We follow the standard of “if it fits down a toilet paper tube, it is a hazard.”

Our new space & pick-up times:

If you pick up at 11:30 or 3:30 please wait in the new front entry room until class is over.  We encourage parents to get to know one another and chat, but Miss Cynthia is still teaching and talking can make that difficult. Thank you for helping students’ better focus!

Book:

Please sign your child in and out as you enter the building-not after you get him or her to class. (Once the entrance is complete the sign-in books will be in that area.) This is a policy issued by daycare licensing that we must ask everyone entering the school to follow.    Also, we need your full signature-Thanks!

Car Safety:

Please have your child safely buckled into a child’s car seat, no matter how close you may live.  Arizona’s booster seat law is that even children between the ages of 5 and 8, and shorter than 4 feet 9inches tall are required to sit in a child-restraint system, typically a booster seat.

We suggest that you apply sunscreen on your child before or at arrival time.  It should be a brand that has the highest possible SPF 40+, and should be water proof and long lasting.  It is also recommended that your child wear a hat/sunglasses when possible.

Emergency and Evacuation Procedures:

We do have emergency procedures in place specifically for Flagstaff’s fire season and we are registered with reverse 911, so they will immediately inform Foresight of any local threats, which will help eliminate any mixed information on our end.  It is also required (actually a law) that you or an authorized contact person can always be reached by phone at any time if we need you, **Please be sure you always give us any contact updates.

Our priority is your child’s safety and security. Thank you.

Registration Fee and 2019 Tuition:

Annual Registration fees will be added to your account in August for those who will be continuing in the 2019-2020 program. We also wanted to let you know there will be a tuition increase, but it is very minimal. Your deposit will be adjusted in August to reflect your new monthly tuition.  A tuition sheet will be posted, and if you have any questions please talk with Beth.  *Those of you who will be staying for the first few weeks before the start of public school will not be charged a new registration fee.

Thank You So Much!!!!!!!

*The families who were able to attend our special events and help make them so much fun!
